Congratulations, Gryffindor!
The 2010 House Cup Competition is officially over. While all the Houses made a particularly good showing, Gryffindor has taken the Cup. Thank you to all who participated, and a BIG round of applause for the Prefects for planning and hosting this year's activities.

Not long ago, we let you know about the Celebrity Journeys online charity auction, being held by Action for Children.
Matt Lewis aka Neville Longbottom has donated a sketch to the auction and bidding on his wonderful work of art will close on Thursday 15th July at 12pm. Your chance to attend the artwork exhibition has sadly been and gone, but it’s not too late snap up a piece of HP artwork!
So if you haven’t already taken a look at Matt’s artwork and placed your bid, you can do so here. Please get bidding if you can!

Staffers will be hosting meetups and reporting from the convention as well as a taking a look at the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. Staff on 2010.07.12 - 09:40AM Charity auction for unique HP art.
We have recently been asked to help raise awareness of an online charity auction which will benefit children, has a Harry Potter connection and a competition that may see you mingling with a celeb or three. So here's the details.....
Action for Children, a charity that reaches out to children and young people in desperate need of help, are holding a 'Celebrity Journeys' online charity auction from 15th June 2010 until the 15th July 2010.
The auction will include some fabulous artwork from our very own Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) as well as many other famous celebrities! All the money raised will be used to aid Action for Children's efforts reaching out to those in need.
As well as the online auction, Action for Children will be holding an exclusive exhibition of the celebrity artwork at The Music Room in Mayfair. This is an invitation only event but you can enter their competition here for the chance to win 2 free tickets!
So what I want you guys to do is this, if you want an original drawing by Matt Lewis that depicts his journey from'Drama school to Hogwarts school' please visit the site here and make a bid for it. Or if you'd like to be at the swanky London event that will be showing this picture, along with those contributed by other celebs such as Lily Allen, Robbie Coltrane (that name rings a bell!) Tim Henman, Richard Griffiths, (Uncle Vernon) Yoko Ono, Joanna Lumley.... and more, then enter the competition and you could win 2 tickets for this exclusive event.
Now, you all know that I am not one to gossip or anything, but I'd be surprised if a few of these guys didn't turn up at this event. So if you win the tickets you could end up mingling with a celeb or two or maybe even chatting with Nevile Longbottom!! I'd love to see a member of HPFF win these tickets and let us all know about the event and any celebs you met, so please all of you if you can't place a bid on Matt's artwork, please, please. please enter the competition, because the more of you guys that enter the more chance that one of you will be there!!
Also if you can't bid, but know someone who may be able to, please pass the details on or post it on your twitter page or facebook. Because the more money that the picture gets the more money will go towards helping neglected children and young people. As far as I'm aware the art will be shipped worldwide. The competition, is obviously only available to people that can get to London.

First of all, our Prefects have been doing amazingly with organizing the House Cup! Don't hesitate to send them encouraging messages about how awesome they are! :) Participation among all the Houses has been exceptional as well.
Completed Events: House Pride Graphics Contest, Know Your Prefect, and the Scavenger Hunt.
On-going Events: Podcast Review Contest, Final Battle Collaboration, and Memory Lane Thread.
Participation in The Final Battle Collaboration (15+) has been overwhelming. As of this post, it already has thirty chapters!!! If you're looking for some awesome reading, this is a great place to look. Don't forget to leave comments for our wonderful writers who have been working so hard!
The current tally of House points can be viewed at the forums, here (12+). With many more events planned by our Prefects still to come, it's really anyone's game - so head to your Common Room and get your House pride on!

Some of you will already be aware that Snitchsista, one of our podcast staff was an extra (playing a Slytherin) in HBP. At the time of filming, we did ask if she would like to discuss the filming for a podcast, but unfortunately due to secrecy clauses and contract thingies she was unable to... but now with filming finished she has decided to tell all!!
What is Dan Radcliffe really like? Did Snitchy get up close and personal with Rupert? Was she paid squillions?? Are the trio really good friends or is it just a front for the cameras and just who is the better actor, Emma Watson or her eyebrows??
